The recent publication of Building Bulletin 93 provides mandatory requirements for “new” school
designs demonstrating that older buildings require other methods of improving acoustic
conditions. Bulletin 93 has been set out to provide a comprehensive guide for architects, building
control bodies, building services engineers, clients, and others involved in the design of new
school buildings.
SOUNDFIELD systems are sound enhancement systems specially for classrooms based on either
Infra Red or FM wireless microphones, amplifiers and speakers within a room and ensure the
teachers' voice is properly heard throughout the room without them having to raise or 'stress' their
