A typical installation process for a ceiling mounted projector and wall mounted interactive whiteboard
consists of the following procedures and components.
a. Site Survey
i. Check suitability of location
ii. Review power sources, structural supports etc.
iii. Confirm no safety issues
b. Supply of equipment
i. Any additional support structure requirements
ii. Provision of projector mounting system
(ceiling brackets, extension poles etc)
iii. Provision of all cabling, connectors and conduits
iv. Provision of Powered Speakers (included in price)
v. Provision of Active Splitter Box.or cable to connector panel for monitor re- drive.(included in price)
vi. Provision of Projector Viper Alarm.(optional extra - £ 145 fitted at time of install)
c. Installation of Interactive Board
i. Height determined by users (e.g. primary school, infant school, boardroom etc)
ii. Board mounted onto wall or supporting feature
iii. Cabling from board to wall plate position or PC position (depending on board)
iv. Cabling from board to power point (if required)
v. Mounting and cabling of speaker system if required / provided
d. Installation of Projection System
i. Connection to existing power source if required
(see Note b below)
ii. Fitting suspension bracket array
iii. Wiring of cables from projector to wall plate
(wiring either above suspended ceiling or within cable housing)
(wall plate is connection plate set on wall to plug in cables from the PC / video player to the
whiteboard and projector)
iv. Wiring includes VGA cables for data pictures plus cabling for video player, sound and remote
control system if required)
v. Installation of speaker system
vi. Installation, checking and arming of Sonic Shock Alarm system
e. Post Installation Q & A / Testing
i. A Phoenix AV technician will visit site on completion of installation
ii. All systems checked with client including accessories
iii. Client signs off wok as completed and in order
iv. Client / User Familiarisation where required
f. Ongoing Customer Support
PRICING
a. Standard Installation Fee to cover above (inclusive manpower and brackets)
(see note)
i. Standard End user rrp
£ 650 + vat
(prices are subject to site survey and may vary)
ii. Education establishments are eligible for discounted installation (please contact offices
for a quote)
b. Prices may vary if different (longer poles etc.) ceiling brackets required, or additional installation
equipment
c. Discount is not applicable for multiple installations as any additional requirement for
accommodation and expenses is included.
NOTE:
a. Installation is completed at the clients’ convenience which can include evenings to ensure as little
disruption as possible.
If installation is required over weekend periods, there may be a surcharge applicable.
b. It is the responsibility of the school to ensure adequate electrical power sources are provided for
the projector position and board if required.
