MAIN SYSTEMS

These have become the standard aid product for classrooms allowing the user
to project their computer images or external DVD / VCR / Document Camera
etc onto the main screen
Used in conjunction with an Interactive Whiteboard or Panel -
they provide the ultimate enhancement.

Remember - proper installation is vital for ease of
use, security and the health and safety of all :

although boards can be stand mounted /

* Options can include ultra short throw and
retractable projector mounts into the ceiling

Large format plasma / LCD (60" or more offer) outstanding image quality and
aesthetics without the issues of projector light-path, noise and brightness
levels at reasonable pricing levels.
- Offers the user all the functionality of an interactive
whiteboard for meetings etc
- Allows the user to remain in contact and updated
with external news and political issues via built in TV tuner

You will still need to consider
* Full Installation- the plasma can be floor
(stand), wall or ceiling mounted and
connected to a Connection Plate where the
required computer, DVD, VCR or TV Tuner
is connected.

The advances in technology make the Interactive Touch LCD screen an
excellent option to a whiteboard. Flat, unobtrusive and with outstanding clarity,
a smaller screen can often equate to a larger interactive board.
Users can operate the computer from touching the screen and have the same
functionality (same software) as an interactive board.
There are also all-in-one systems with an integrated PC to further minimise the
amount of equipment / cabling found in any classroom. These systems can be
rolling stand mounted to offer greater flexibility of use between room locations.

The majority of major IWB brands have a version of the Interactive Panel with
their own compatible software.
The user interacts with the panel in the same way as an interactive board, the
image being projected via the projector or a standard screen
An alternative to the IWB, it allows for:
* Projection to larger standard screen
* Panel to be placed at convenient location
(e.g. teachers desk / side of room)
* Shorter users have easy access to the panel

An alternative is to utilise the panel as part of a mobile
solution such as the Moby-Go Trolly which encases
the computer, projector and panel in one cabinet.

IP based video conferencing system have virtually nil cost of ownership and
with excellent communication capability including computer presentations and
external cameras.
No longer the highly expensive systems they were, these are now a superb
enhancement to any company improving communications whilst reducing costs.

Avoid the embarrassment of double booking rooms or failing to book / barging
into wrong meetings or arguments about time.
Room scheduling systems such as the RoomWizard offer a network based
booking solution with a visual touch screen indicator outside every room.
Looks smart, easy to operate and with a host of features allowing you to
search for a room within your organisation online from any location either by
size, capacity or features as well. Have the system inform your guests
automatically including reminders.

If you have a number of visitors or different users within a room, keeping an
eye on remote controls or understanding what operates what can be fraught
with problems and losses.
Simple remote control systems can be included in any install offering simple to
understand one touch operation for a number of facilities including AV
equipment, screens, blinds and lighting.

ALTERNATIVE SYSTEMS
|
|
|
These are a very good alternative to a standard whiteboard:
* For smaller meeting where an IWB and projector can be
intrusive and space consuming
* Where the effects of shadowing on a normal IWB can
detract from its use
* Some installations allow for the rear projection cabinet to
be built into a recess offering a smart and attractive finish
to a room.

Some brands offer their own versions (Promethean,
SMART, Interact, Sahara CleverPro) whilst other
systems can be adapted to run the relevant software
package.

PERIPHERALS &ACCESSORIES
|
|

|
These offer the user greater flexibility and freedom of movement within a room,
allowing them to operate their PC / interactive software from any location.
By giving the tablet to any member to operate, can also help to minimise
movement within some meeting rooms.

Some brands offer their own versions complete with

GCTO). There are however 'neutral' systems that will
work with any computer and any loaded software.

All rooms with installed projection systems should
have the capability to project VCR / DVD images and
films through the projector onto a big screen.

Simple but effective addition to any meeting room.
Allows the user to quickly show small objects, pictures and more as big
images onto their screen thus bringing out small object detail and reducing the
need to pass objects around a room.
