Welcome your guests, customers and visitors
with TOTEM
The totem is a multi screen Visual Display System
that will enhance any reception or lobby area. Floor
standing with a slim elegant design, the Totem
can be personalised with your own company logo
and colours.
At the height of a tall person, the Totem is inviting
and eye-catching and can be positioned in the most
effective location for maximum exposure. A durable
aluminium housing, tempered glass front and solid
steel base allows the Totem to be placed in the
busiest and most hectic of environments.
With multi screen technology, visitors can focus on
relevant information displayed on each individual
screen. For example,
* one screen can show directions,
* the second screen could show forthcoming
events
* third screen could be used for advertising or
promotions.
To add to it’s simplicity, messages can be
composed using standard Microsoft tools such as
Word® and PowerPoint® and you can even add
pictures, animations and video to further enhance
the overall impression and messages.

Control
The fact that there is a controlling computer
running Microsoft Windows XP within the
system connected to an external PC means
that the user has maximum flexibility over the
content and its changes.
Screens can be updated independently of each
other, schedule messages in real time or in
advance to be updated and played at a later
unprompted time.
Controlling one screen is a simple affair,
however several Totem screens or a
combination of Totems and wall mounted
plasma screens could be connected via a LAN
and all controlled from a single point.
The controller would have the ability to
replicate the same message to a number of
screens or send different messages to any
combination. Once the schedule was set, the
screens would each run the information
required at the time and for the length required.

|
Every individual Totem can be controlled by a
sophisticated PC and Windows based VueWare
software. VueWare runs the original presentations
in Word, or PowerPoint complete with pictures,
video clips or Flash animation.
Schedules can be created and easily updated
allowing any of the three screens on the singe
Totem to show different material at different times.
The screens can be updated independently of each
other and the schedules programmed to be sent at
convenient times (i.e. low network traffic times) to
be stored onto the main Totem PC (in advance of
requirements) and played at the set time.
Presentations can begin and end at the times
programmed or set to continue on a loop until
changed.
Not only can you control one or more Totems
locally, a worldwide network of screens could be
controlled from the internal modem of one
master system – allowing you to base an entire
corporate communications system on Totems
|
|
Multiple installation layouts can be achieved
with the Totem and plasma / LCD screens by
using the Multiple Display Controller
.
This combined Visual Communications system
allows you to deliver your message to a
network of screens in numerous locations,
simultaneously.
The VueWare software enables information to
be edited and scheduled via a workstation and
distributed to multiple Totems and independent
plasma / LCD screens utilising a Multiple
Display Controller (MDC). Each one can
manage the information displayed on up to any
combination of five plasma, LCD or TFT
screens. Multiple Display Controllers can be
networked and managed from a single
location.
The information on each screen can be changed
independently of the others and a variety of
content can be displayed sequentially or
simultaneously allowing for total flexibility.
The system is capable of meeting both small to
large scale requirements.
This Visual Communication System allows you
to schedule and deliver messages or
presentations to your guests, customers and
visitors at anytime, anywhere

Basic Overview
|
The Totem is a superb Point of View and information display system consisting of
a smart tower incorporating 3 x 17” or 19” screens, each able to show
independent material.
The software is loaded onto a standard PC connected by LAN / WAN to each of the
Totems. The controller is able to upload media content and schedules to each of
the Totems and play separate content at separate times on any of the screens.
Totems in differing locations can have the same content following the same
schedules or totally different.
Additionally, by incorporating a Media Display Controller, LCD / Plasma Screens of
any size can be included within the overall information scheme.
