Training Needs Analysis is of fundamental importance in the overall planning, reconstruction,
updating and
general training of both staff and in- house procedures. Often, the need for training is haphazard
with no real
consideration given to the requirements of individuals or the establishment / organisation resulting
in wasted
time, effort and cost.
A properly executed TNA allows the 'sponsor' to evaluate exactly the requirements, assess the
validity of current
skills and in- house systems and the impact any new training or systems will have.
